页面版本

Modern Campus CMS has a Version control system in place to allow you to revert to previously saved versions of a 页面. This allows you to revert to previous versions of 页面s and discard any edits that have been made since that version was saved. 每一个 time a 页面 file is sent for approval, a unique version of a 页面 is saved through the automatic version control system. You can also save a new version without submitting a 页面 for approval by following the steps below.

保存新版本

  1. Open a 页面 to Edit View.
  2. 查看页面.
  3. Click the More Actions menu (•••) and then select Save Version

  4. This will bring up a modal with a box for Version Description. Enter a description to help you identify the version later on.

  5. Once finished, click “Save Version”.

The Versions Screen

The Versions screen of a 页面 is where you go to manage the saved versions of the 页面. To access the Versions Screen for a 页面, you should:

  1. Open a Page in Modern Campus CMS.
  2. 看看 页面.
  3. While viewing the checked out 页面, click the Versions button from the Page Actions Toolbar. This displays the Versions screen.
  4. On the versions screen you will see a list of all saved versions of 页面.

Viewing a Previous Version

From the Versions screen, a version of 页面 can be viewed. These views of a 页面 version are provided in a separate browser window or tab.

  1. From the Versions screen, click the More Actions menu (•••) in the row for the version.
  2. Find “View” from the Options column (far right).
  3. From View, select Page.

  4. The version of 页面 is displayed.

Reverting to a Previous Version

The Versions screen includes the ability to revert to a previous version of a 页面.

  1. From the Versions screen, click the More Actions menu (•••) at the end of the row of the version you wish to revert to.
  2. 点击“回复”.
  3. A confirmation dialog will be shown.
  4. 点击回复.

  5. A success message shows to which version 页面 was reverted.

Note: Reverting to the Version will not make 页面 live. It will only be changed 编辑视图. In order to publish the version, you will need to submit 页面 for approval.
